- Why should I hire a Professional Photographer? I am a professional that combines traditional, photojournalistic and most importantly what you desire or prefer. A professional photographer brings experience and skill to insure that nothing is overlooked when capturing the memories in your event, portrait session or wedding.
- Do you take Color and Black and White? I take Color and Black & White photos combining Sepia tones and a variety of schemes with a mixture of formal, posed and candid shots.
- What format & equipment is used? I use Medium film and 20 Mega pixel jpg Digital formats. To capture the moments, I use Pentax Medium Format Cameras and Fuji S2 Digital Cameras, Professional Lighting equipment, a Professional LOCAL Lab and Photoshop Elements software to produce quality images.
- Do I get to keep the Negatives/Digital Files? Yes they are included in your package or can be purchased. If not, the negatives and digital files are the property of Jeffrey Simon Photography. Negatives and Digital files are retained for a minimum of two years before they are discarded. You will be notified before they are destroyed.
- Why should I buy a package instead of single pictures? Package prices are generally 15% lower than a la carte pricing. This makes reprints or enlargements much more affordable.
- How can I see your work ? I have my portfolios online or you can schedule a 1-hour consultation free of charge. You will see actual photographs that were ordered by other customers along with my award winning shots. You will see a professional look combined with a lot of variety. I can email you examples as well for your convenience.

- Will I meet the Photographer? I have multiple photographers that work for me, but it is important that you meet and see the work of the photographer that will be at your event. It is important that you get a feel for his or her personality and see the work of the actual photographer who will be supporting you. Jeffrey L. Simon is always your first choice of photographers.
- How can I expect Jeffrey Simon Photographers to be dressed? I am always shocked when I see a photographer dressed inappropriately for the occasion. If your wedding is formal, photographers should be formal as well. Men will wear a suit or a nice shirt with a tie. Women will wear black slacks or a black skirt and a button down shirt. If the client has a preference in what is worn, that accommodation can be made.
- How long will it take to process the photos? Please allow 2-3 weeks to view pictures online. Compared to other photographers, this is a very quick turn around time.
- Do we have a contract? So you and I understand the payment terms, the guarantee, what will be delivered to you and other information such as: What happens if the photographer is sick or hurt? What is the cancellation policy? What is the deposit amount? I offer full explanations in writing to meet your needs and I have no hidden costs.
- Do you have references? I can provide you with references to contact. My customer testimonials are on my website also. These are customers taking time out to answer your questions. I just ask that you are courteous to them and remember one day you may be a reference.
- What additional labor or fees will be charged? The only additional charges would be extra time, travel and photos that are not included in your package.
- Payments & Cost:Payment plans or installment can be arranged at any time. Jeffrey Simon accepts cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Paid to the order of Jeffrey L. Simon. I will work with you to meet you budget. We can create a special package that will meet your needs and satisfy you budget. I am very flexible.
- Deposit: The deposit of $40.00 or ½ of the event must be paid in advance to book the date. The remaining package must be paid for in full 2 weeks before the event. If this is not met, you will forfeit your date and deposit unless you cancel for reason beyond your control. Flexible deposit arrangements can be made.
- Discounts:To receive any discount or promotion offered, you MUST present the offer when or before you book the event.
- When do we take Formal Photographs? I prefer to take the formal photographs before the ceremony. This decision is based on the timing and what you desire. We will look at all of the options and do what is best for you needs.
- Will I get quality photographs from Digital? Yes, my digital prints are as good or better than my film prints. You will have a hard time seeing the difference in a side-by-side comparison. Using High Resolution Digital and Experience allows me to produce a great product.
- Do you work with Coordinator or help? I will assist in any way I can to make the day or event PERFECT. I will work with your coordinator, family and bride and groom to help keep things flowing in a timely manner. If you do not have a coordinator, I will follow the scheduled plan that is in your contract. However, I am flexible and I never allow or put any pressure on the bride or groom. I like to have fun and see everyone enjoying themselves. I offer my support when things are a bit confusing or too many agendas are in place. The bottom line is I will do what the Bride and Groom or Client desires since it is your day or event.
